Agrosprint participated as exhibitor at ANUGA 2021

From 9 to 13 October 2021, our colleagues represented the company at ANUGA in Cologne, which is one of the largest food industry exhibitions in Europe in terms of the number and size of exhibitors. Deputy Commercial Director Tibor Király tells us about the experiences of the sales team:

In general, the COVID situation has left its mark on the fair. The halls were about half the size of previous years. This was partly due to the regulations, as ANUGA doubled the distance between stands, but many companies stayed away because of the uncertainty caused by COVID.

Despite all this, the fair was well attended by professionals. This year, a good proportion of visitors came from overseas. From Europe, we were mainly visited by our existing partners. From overseas, there was strong interest in frozen vegetables. The American continent was mainly looking for crushed corn in large quantities.

We have been approached by many Egyptian partners who want to work with us, thanks to our strawberry imports over the last two years.

We got a general market picture and a lot of valuable information about the current economic situation, which is challenging for us, both in the present and in the next year or two.

ANUGA is Europe’s most popular international food exhibition, an outstanding platform for the industry for gaining insights into the latest developments and innovations, for establishing new business contacts and for successfully deepening existing partnerships.

The previous ANUGA 2019 exhibition was attended by 7,500 exhibitors and 170,000 visitors from 106 countries.
Exhibitions such as Anuga always actively promote the economic success of the industry and reflect the current market.
